My name is Deryn Collier and I love mysteries.
I’ve known, since I was seven years old, that I wanted to write mystery novels. For better or for worse, I’m still sticking with that childhood dream.
This blog is where I write about writing, and about why (and how) I stick with it, no matter what.
If you want to know more about me, my journey and my books you can visit my website.
I’m currently at work on a novel set in Montreal in 1947, which features my Great Aunt June as an ad writer and occasional sleuth. (She really was an early Peggy Olson. The sleuth part I made up.) Every month I send a letter to my readers where I share details of my research and writing process, and give a behind-the-scene glimpse of how I’m turning family history into fiction. Many readers write back; we’ve got a nice thing going. If you’d like to join the fun, you can sign up here.
